It wasn’t until we met Josh that we knew we had found the right guy. Josh and his entire team of workers at RW&B Construction were a pleasure to work with from the initial consultation to the very end. We were able to work with Josh and his designer Natalie and they listened to our requests, needs, and preferences, and they provided expert guidance throughout the design process. Everything was drawn and planned out beforehand, and then the excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail by the workers brought the vision to life. New tiles, new floors, new counter tops, new back splashes, new paint, new lighting, and new fixtures. The end result exceeded our expectations. We could not be happier with our kitchen and bath room remodel by RW&B Construction. Josh is a great communicator and kept us informed of what was going to happen on a daily basis. He was very fair and easy to work with when unexpected issues came up, and he accommodated several changes when obstacles were thrown at us during the project. EXCELLENTVerified Remodeling is a tremendous pain. I know having done remodeling projects on 3 previous homes, and flipping 2 others. Our project was not small. Renovating a large kitchen (removing a structural wall to create an open concept)and master bath. Without a doubt this was the best experience out of all with Josh and RWB! Will you hit snags, yes. Can they be foreseen and prevented, no. Josh and the crew took all if it in stride. Every issue I had he replied with, "it's no problem, we will take care of it," and THEY DID! We found a good portion of the 2nd floor electrical was run through the wall we were removing, they took care moving it all (it took 4 days). My engineer goofed on the structural designs, Josh had a guy to fabricate the additional steel bracing that week. A portion of the cabinets had the wrong finish from the factory, they came back as soon when we finally got the correct fronts to install them.Verified We are happy with our remodel. We interviewed 5 contractors and Josh with Red White & Blue Construction was the first one that we interviewed. We liked Josh from the start. Josh is friendly, energetic, easy going and creative. We did a complete remodel of our kitchen, master bathroom, laundry room, a fireplace, flooring and the whole interior was painted. I even got my "Harry Potter" pantry! Whenever we encountered an issue, Josh would always say "no problem ". Indeed no problem, he was always able to figure out a solution. The house was all original, oak and brick all over. Now it's like we moved into a brand new house. His crew finished just in time for us to host for the holidays. We are still moving this back into the house and putting things away. I was looking for a company to do the plans and construction for an ADU garage conversion, and they offered to provide me the designs/plans at cost. They were the only ones to do so, and it was greatly appreciated. Hope to work with RWB Construction in the future!Verified We had a failing retaining wall and steps leading to the deck in the front of our house. The previous installation had several awkward transitions between the deck, steps and walkway to garage. Albert and crew came up with a plan to create a landing at top of steps that lined up perfectly with the deck and walkway. It worked out very nicely. Once starting they were here every day until work was complete. Albert stayed in touch each day to make sure all was proceeding as expected and to address any issues. Work area was cleared at the end of each day. All was finished within promised time frame. Overall I'm very happy with the process and results and will definitely call Red, white and blue should I have remodeling needs in future.Verified We were in real need of additional bathroom in my house with two growing teens and just one bathroom. However, I had a limited budget to build a half-bath. So, I looked for an existing space in the house that I could convert to a half bath. I found an under used utility room just big enough for this bathroom. I drew a rough layout for the new bath and sent the plan to few Contractors including Josh, owner of the Red White and Blue construction. Next, Josh came to my house to review the job siie and gave me a reasonable estimate. He took the time to explain things including permitting process and overall plan. I had a good rapport with Josh, so I decided to work with him. I sent him a list of things related to the project that I wanted to get done. Then, Josh followed up with a formal proposal. Just to be clear, I have some experience with remodeling and I know some of the building code. Prior to the start of the project, I wanted to change how the plumbing for the toilet was going to be built. Josh listened to my request and sent a plumber to verify that my idea for the plumbing was feasible. After his plumber verified the feasibility of my request, Josh agreed to implement my idea. Throughout the project Josh listened to my suggestion and worked with me to make the project a reality. Josh's team was very professional and they did a good job and cleaned up the place every evening after work. This was a small project, but technically challenging due to limited space and other technical constraints. Overall, I am happy with the finished half bath and happy that I hired Josh and his company red white and blue to build my half bath. He was upfront with what was doable, what would be difficult to achieve within budget, and he spelled out the unknowns & potential change orders before we signed. RWB was familiar with Alameda codes and dealing with older buildings. Josh hooked us up with contacts for sourcing the materials we needed to buy. The crew were friendly and respectful while in our home. The handful of issues we had were promptly dealt with.
